Jet Carrying Pete Hegseth Forced to Touch Down in UK Because of Fracture in Cockpit Window

A plane carrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was required to make an emergency landing in the UK on Wednesday due to a fissure was found in the plane's windshield, per an announcement which stated that Hegseth was safe.

"The aircraft touched down in accordance with established safety measures and everyone onboard, such as Defense Secretary Hegseth, is secure," a press officer stated in a public statement.

The secretary was coming back from a short visit to the Belgian capital during the flight.

This occurrence does not mark the first time that a American defense plane ferrying a senior official has experienced mechanical issues.

Earlier this year, a American military jet transporting Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was forced to head back to Washington DC after encountering a mechanical problem.
