Reigning Aryna Sabalenka Secures Consecutive WTA Top Player Awards.

The tennis star in action
The Belarusian player ended the season with an notable 23-3 Grand Slam win-loss record.

World number one Aryna Sabalenka has been selected the Women's Tennis Association top performer of the year for a second consecutive season.

The 27-year-old secured four titles – the highest tally on the circuit – including successfully defending the US Open this past September versus Amanda Anisimova to claim her fourth Grand Slam singles triumph.

A Season of Consistency

Over the course of the tour, Sabalenka reached a circuit-leading nine championship matches, with losses coming against Madison Keys in the Australian Open final at the start of the year and Coco Gauff in June's French Open final.

The star player also won the Brisbane International in January, the Miami Open in March, and the Madrid Open as the clay season progressed. She remained the entire year as the world number one, concluding 2025 atop the rankings for a second successive year.

In July, she achieved the status of being the first player to top 12,000 WTA ranking points since Serena Williams did so nearly a decade ago.

Historic Achievements

Sabalenka concluded the competitive year with a 63-12 win-loss record, and collected a historic £11m in tournament winnings.

She earned nearly eighty percent of the votes submitted by global tennis journalists.

Later this month, she is set to play 2022 Wimbledon finalist Nick Kyrgios in a high-profile mixed-gender exhibition match in a bid to "help bring women's tennis to a greater prominence".
