The Liverpool head coach acknowledged that it was expected for doubts to be asked about his position following a further heavy loss against PSV Eindhoven.

“I'm confident, I am OK, I have got significant support from management,” the coach stated.

He noted, “I am OK with my role. This isn't the initial instance I've found myself in a challenging situation but it's necessary that we improved our results.”

Upon being questioned to elaborate on his dialogues with the team officials, the head coach revealed:
“We talk a lot. They are helpful to the team and for me and we discuss these matters but they aren't calling me every single minute of the day to say they back me.”
He mentioned, “In the normal discussions I perceive the trust. However I've not talked to them after this match so far so let’s see.”

Slot highlighted known failings from his team in their Champions League loss, specifically wasted chances and defensive lapses.
Meanwhile, player Jones was blunter in his view of the current crisis.
