The First Xbox Game Pass Additions of 2026 Demonstrate Xbox Is Still Fighting.

In numerous discussions, fans keep sounding the funeral bells for Microsoft's gaming division. Microsoft's console just got outsold by a platform few have heard of. Dedicated Xbox communities are now publishing content on PS5 topics unprecedentedly. The past year represented an era of significant turmoil for Xbox and Microsoft. But if we're going solely off the upcoming Game Pass lineup in 2026, it becomes clear that Xbox still intends to draw people in with compelling titles on its flagship service.

The Current Inclusions

The two games currently accessible at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, aren't the showstoppers. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass in the coming weeks that's deserving of attention.

Major Titles on the Horizon

Starting January 13th, the platform will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, a sprawling adventure that deviates from the standard Ubisoft formula with an intergalactic heist adventure. Another big get is Resident Evil Village featuring the towering Lady Dimitrescu, which our 2021 review called "a superb mixture of terror and combat."

Noteworthy Smaller Games

However, the more modest titles set to join the catalog are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, the criminally overlooked roguelike that's a blast to play, drops on Jan. 7th — and it merits a playthrough whether or not you experienced the first Lost in Random game.

The British post-apocalyptic game from last year may draw you in in about 15 minutes flat.

Atomfall, a survival title with stealth elements by the makers of Sniper Elite, is also a game to check out. Those with the top-tier subscription also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to look forward to.

A Well-Rounded Collection

All in all, these aren't the most groundbreaking additions to Game Pass, nor are they massive exclusive blockbusters that justify the service by themselves. However, this batch of games are very dependable. The lineup provides a solid mix of old games you might have missed and relatively recent releases that failed to receive the spotlight they deserved the first time around — transforming them into ideal prospects to experience a revival on Game Pass.

Be prepared to bid farewell to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, as it happens.
